Experiments published in Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin found that individuals shown a green-colored rectangle prior to taking creativity tests performed more imaginatively than those who were shown blue, white or red. Being associated with growth and calm, researchers suggested the color green may have a psychologically stimulating effect on creative ingenuity.

35. MEDITATION SENSATION. Students in a Chinese study who meditated for one week for 30 minutes a day performed better on standard creativity tests. A form of meditation known as integrative mind-body training (IMBT) aims at improving mindfulness and coherence, which in turn triggers increased feelings of well-being.
